About Me

I'm Terri, I'm 27 and I'm from God's own county, AKA Yorkshire. I'm a Media & Popular Culture graduate and a fully qualified and employed FE teacher of various different strands of Media. I'm a down-to-earth, what you see is what you get kinda girl with a huge passion for music, shopping, film, TV and writing. I'm happiest when sat in my pyjamas scoffing a pizza and catching up on Coronation Street. For the most part, I'm 27 going on 65, but don't let that fool you, I'm also an avid gig-goer, I love socialising, spending time with pals and a good old pub quiz. In my spare time I love experimenting with digital illustration and art and have recently started to upload my work to an Insta profile which you’ll find on the Art page. This blog will probably tell you everything you need to know about me. But if not, feel free to ask.

I am extremely passionate about writing and have been since I was young, from writing poems and stories in school to daft little things helping my family write letters of complaint to the council. It really doesn't matter what form, I just love expressing myself by putting words on a page. I dabbled in journalism during my undergraduate degree and whilst I loved the writing, I wanted to be free of constraints and wanted to read and write about whatever took my fancy. At 27, I'm now a fully qualified teacher and whilst not exclusively writing for a living, I spend a lot of time analysing films and TV programmes with my students and therefore still get my creative fix by helping them to interpret and express themselves through creation of media. My blog is a space for discussion of many different things from reviews and opinion posts to lifestyle/diary style posts and even pieces of creative writing. I take inspiration from lots of other blogs out there, but strive to be unique in style and approach. I love reading new content and talking to new people so feel free to comment, subscribe and share your blogs with me.
